A Teleki utcai tornyos t\u0171zolt\u00f3szert\u00e1rb\u00f3l<\/a>\u00a01908-ban \u00e1ttelep\u00fcltek a Meggyes, a k\u00e9s\u0151bbi N\u00e9meth Istv\u00e1n<\/a>\u00a0utca 5. sz\u00e1m al\u00e1, ahol k\u00e9t fab\u00f3d\u00e9ban helyezt\u00e9k el az \u00e9rt\u00e9kes t\u0171zolt\u00f3 eszk\u00f6z\u00f6ket. 1914 m\u00e1jus\u00e1ban elhunyt kiv\u00e1l\u00f3 parancsnokuk, Szabados Imre<\/a>\u00a0gy\u00f3gyszer\u00e9sz; azt\u00e1n j\u00f6tt a nagy h\u00e1bor\u00fa, amely az \u0151 vil\u00e1gukat is megv\u00e1ltoztatta. A beh\u00edv\u00e1sok miatt olyan kev\u00e9s \u00f6nk\u00e9ntes t\u0171zolt\u00f3<\/a>\u00a0maradt, hogy a mellett\u00fck m\u0171k\u00f6d\u0151 hivat\u00e1sosok<\/a>\u00a0sz\u00e1m\u00e1t \u00e9vr\u0151l \u00e9vre emelni kellett. M\u00e9g orosz hadifoglyok munk\u00e1j\u00e1t is ig\u00e9nybe vett\u00e9k, hiszen nemcsak a v\u00e1ros t\u0171zv\u00e9delm\u00e9r\u0151l, hanem a sebes\u00fclt katon\u00e1k sz\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1s\u00e1r\u00f3l is a t\u0171zolt\u00f3knak kellett gondoskodniuk. Az \u00f6nk\u00e9ntes kaposv\u00e1ri t\u0171zolt\u00f3test\u00fclet 1918 \u0151sz\u00e9n, a forradalom kit\u00f6r\u00e9sekor teljesen feloszlott; feladat\u00e1t a v\u00e1ros \u00e1ltal fizetett hivat\u00e1sos t\u0171zolt\u00f3k vett\u00e9k \u00e1t.<\/p>\n

A h\u00faszas \u00e9vek k\u00f6zep\u00e9n ism\u00e9t k\u00f6lt\u00f6ztek: az Esterh\u00e1zy-uradalom<\/a>\u00a0r\u00e9gi magt\u00e1r\u00e9p\u00fclet\u00e9t vett\u00e9k birtokba a volt Meggyes-telken<\/a>. A Somogy Megyei \u00c1llami \u00c9p\u00edt\u0151ipari V\u00e1llalat az 1960-as \u00e9vek v\u00e9g\u00e9n fogott hozz\u00e1 itt az \u00fajabb \u00e9p\u00edtkez\u00e9shez \u2013 kider\u00fclt ugyanis, hogy a csaknem h\u00e1romsz\u00e1z \u00e9ves \u00e9p\u00fclet fagerend\u00e1i elkorhadtak, a tet\u0151szerkezet \u00e9letvesz\u00e9lyess\u00e9 v\u00e1lt. Egy fiatal \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9sz, L\u0151rincz Ferenc tervei alapj\u00e1n teljesen meg\u00fajult az \u00e9p\u00fclet, amelyet 1970. j\u00fanius 25-\u00e9n avattak fel \u00fcnnep\u00e9lyesen. A vend\u00e9gek a t\u0171zrend\u00e9szet megyei parancsnoka, dr. Egyed Dezs\u0151 k\u00eds\u00e9ret\u00e9ben v\u00e9gigj\u00e1rt\u00e1k az \u00faj laktany\u00e1t, \u201es nagy elismer\u00e9ssel nyilatkoztak a l\u00e1tottakr\u00f3l, a hatalmas szert\u00e1rr\u00f3l, ahov\u00e1 az akn\u00e1n, illetve a cs\u00fasz\u00f3r\u00fadon kereszt\u00fcl pillanatok alatt le\u00e9rtek a riasztott t\u0171zolt\u00f3k.
