A v\u00e1ros centen\u00e1riumi \u00fcnneps\u00e9geinek lez\u00e1r\u00e1sak\u00e9nt, 1973. december 22-\u00e9n a Somber \u00e9p\u00fclet\u00e9nek fal\u00e1n felavatt\u00e1k az eml\u00e9kt\u00e1bl\u00e1j\u00e1t, s egy\u00fattal ism\u00e9t r\u00f3la nevezt\u00e9k el N\u00e9meth Istv\u00e1n fasornak a Beloiannisz utca Lenin \u00e9s Vir\u00e1g utca k\u00f6z\u00f6tti szakasz\u00e1t. (1904-ben itt telep\u00edtettek kett\u0151s h\u00e1rsfasort a polg\u00e1rmester kezdem\u00e9nyez\u00e9s\u00e9re.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">1987. j\u00fanius 7-\u00e9n \u00fajabb avat\u00f3\u00fcnneps\u00e9g k\u00f6vetkezett, ez\u00fattal azonban a Balaton k\u00f6zel\u00e9ben: a fony\u00f3di ny\u00e1ri gal\u00e9ria fal\u00e1n lepleztek le eml\u00e9kt\u00e1bl\u00e1t N\u00e9meth Istv\u00e1n tisztelet\u00e9re. Weeber Kl\u00e1ra szobr\u00e1szm\u0171v\u00e9sz alkot\u00e1s\u00e1t az\u00e9rt helyezt\u00e9k el \u00e9ppen itt, mert a gal\u00e9ria egykoron a fony\u00f3di f\u00fcrd\u0151kult\u00far\u00e1t is t\u00e1mogat\u00f3 kaposv\u00e1ri polg\u00e1rmester vill\u00e1ja volt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">1995-ben N\u00e9meth Istv\u00e1n K\u00f6r n\u00e9ven hoztak l\u00e9tre \u00faj frakci\u00f3t a kaposv\u00e1ri k\u00f6zgy\u0171l\u00e9sben a Somogy\u00e9rt Egyes\u00fclet \u00e9s a Fidesz tagjai. Az \u00e9v v\u00e9g\u00e9n pedig a \u201ev\u00e1rosfejleszt\u0151\u201d politikus polg\u00e1rmesterr\u00e9 v\u00e1laszt\u00e1s\u00e1nak sz\u00e1zadik \u00e9vfordul\u00f3ja alkalm\u00e1b\u00f3l tartottak \u00fcnnepi megeml\u00e9kez\u00e9st Kaposv\u00e1ron.
