Ott ismerkedett meg feles\u00e9g\u00e9vel, Knezevich Anna Paulin\u00e1val; mindketten a pedag\u00f3gusi p\u00e1ly\u00e1t v\u00e1lasztott\u00e1k, a tan\u00edt\u00f3k\u00e9pz\u0151t is egy\u00fctt v\u00e9gezt\u00e9k el. H\u00e9t gyermek\u00fck sz\u00fcletett, k\u00f6z\u00fcl\u00fck n\u00e9gyen maradtak \u00e9letben. A legid\u0151sebbet, aki <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-068\">k\u00e9s\u0151bb fest\u0151m\u0171v\u00e9szk\u00e9nt<\/a> messze f\u00f6ld\u00f6n h\u00edress\u00e9 tette a fam\u00edlia \u00e9s Kaposv\u00e1r nev\u00e9t, a csal\u00e1di hagyom\u00e1nynak megfelel\u0151en J\u00f3zsefnek keresztelt\u00e9k.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A pedag\u00f3gus Rippl J\u00f3zsef Szolnokon kezdte oktatni az ifj\u00fas\u00e1got, de m\u00e1r 1859-ben a kaposv\u00e1ri r\u00f3mai katolikus iskola oszt\u00e1lytan\u00edt\u00f3ja lett. K\u00e9s\u0151bb, amikor <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-213\">k\u00f6zs\u00e9giv\u00e9 alakult \u00e1t<\/a> a tanoda, kart\u00e1rsai igazgat\u00f3-tan\u00edt\u00f3v\u00e1 v\u00e1lasztott\u00e1k. Az 1891\/92. tan\u00e9v v\u00e9g\u00e9ig <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-131\">\u201eA haza kis polg\u00e1rainak\u201d<\/a> c\u00edmzett k\u00f6zponti iskol\u00e1n\u00e1l m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00f6tt, amikor is \u2013 saj\u00e1t k\u00edv\u00e1ns\u00e1g\u00e1ra \u2013 az \u00fajonnan szervezett F\u0151 utcai iskol\u00e1hoz, a \u201eCiglihez\u201d helyezt\u00e9k \u00e1t. A R\u00f3nai nevet 1889 m\u00e1jus\u00e1ban vette fel, s a k\u00f6vetkez\u0151 h\u00f3napban fest\u0151m\u0171v\u00e9sz fia is k\u00f6vette a p\u00e9ld\u00e1j\u00e1t. Az id\u0151sebb Rippl-R\u00f3nai negyvenh\u00e1rom \u00e9ven \u00e1t tan\u00edt\u00f3skodott, hossz\u00fa szolg\u00e1lata jutalm\u00e1ul a sz\u00e1zadv\u00e9gen az arany \u00e9rdemkereszttel t\u00fcntette ki az <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-050\">uralkod\u00f3<\/a>.
