A terveket \u00e9s a k\u00f6lts\u00e9gvet\u00e9st Moln\u00e1r Endre, az Esterh\u00e1zy-uradalom \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9sze dolgozta ki, teljesen ingyen. A kivitelez\u00e9sre Fej\u00e9r Lajos \u00e9s Ritter Ign\u00e1c budapesti v\u00e1llalkoz\u00f3k kaptak megb\u00edz\u00e1st; egy\u00e9bk\u00e9nt \u0151k \u00e9p\u00edtett\u00e9k az Igazs\u00e1g\u00fcgyi Palot\u00e1t is. Az orgon\u00e1t p\u00e9csi c\u00e9g, a bels\u0151 berendez\u00e9st szombathelyi mester k\u00e9sz\u00edtette, a torony\u00f3ra szint\u00e9n a f\u0151v\u00e1rosb\u00f3l ker\u00fclt Kaposv\u00e1rra. A tervez\u0151t m\u00e9g az el\u0151k\u00e9sz\u00fcletek idej\u00e9n n\u00e9metorsz\u00e1gi tanulm\u00e1ny\u00fatra k\u00fcldte a <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-216\">reform\u00e1tus gy\u00fclekezet<\/a>, a templom burkol\u00f3anyag\u00e1t, az \u00e9getett v\u00f6r\u00f6s t\u00e9gl\u00e1t pedig Szlav\u00f3ni\u00e1b\u00f3l hozatt\u00e1k. Az \u00e9p\u00edtkez\u00e9s \u00fctem\u00e9re jellemz\u0151, hogy naponta tizenh\u00e9t \u00e1cs \u00e9s \u00e1llv\u00e1nyoz\u00f3, t\u00f6bb mint f\u00e9lsz\u00e1z k\u0151m\u0171ves \u00e9s hetvenn\u00e9l t\u00f6bb seg\u00e9dmunk\u00e1s dolgozott itt a f\u0151pall\u00e9r ir\u00e1ny\u00edt\u00e1s\u00e1val. A gy\u00fclekezet legend\u00e1s lelk\u00e9sze, Csert\u00e1n M\u00e1rton is v\u00e9gig rajta tartotta a szem\u00e9t a templom \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9s\u00e9n.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">El\u0151sz\u00f6r a paplak k\u00e9sz\u00fclt el, amelyet 1907 november\u00e9ben vettek haszn\u00e1latba, falai k\u00f6z\u00f6tt az els\u0151 presbiteri gy\u0171l\u00e9sre is sor ker\u00fclt. December k\u00f6zep\u00e9n a templom \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9se is befejez\u0151d\u00f6tt; a kar\u00e1csonyi istentiszteleteket m\u00e1r itt tartott\u00e1k.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A templomot 1908. janu\u00e1r 26-\u00e1n szentelte fel Antal G\u00e1bor, a dun\u00e1nt\u00fali ker\u00fclet p\u00fcsp\u00f6ke, igaz\u00e1n d\u00edszes vend\u00e9gsereg jelenl\u00e9t\u00e9ben. A p\u00fcsp\u00f6k mellett m\u00e1r az el\u0151z\u0151 napon, az esti vonattal Kaposv\u00e1rra \u00e9rkezett gr\u00f3f Tisza Istv\u00e1n volt (\u00e9s leend\u0151) minisztereln\u00f6k, egyben egyh\u00e1zker\u00fcleti f\u0151gondnok, valamint E\u00f6tv\u00f6s K\u00e1roly \u00edr\u00f3 \u00e9s Bosny\u00e1k Zolt\u00e1nn\u00e9 S\u00e1ndor Erzsi opera-\u00e9nekesn\u0151. Valamennyien a templom avat\u00e1s\u00e1ra j\u00f6ttek.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A templomszentel\u00e9s vas\u00e1rnapj\u00e1n az eg\u00e9sz v\u00e1ros z\u00e1szl\u00f3d\u00edszbe \u00f6lt\u00f6z\u00f6tt, a h\u00edrneves vend\u00e9geket <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-075\">N\u00e9meth Istv\u00e1n<\/a> polg\u00e1rmester fogadta. Mintegy k\u00e9tezren vettek r\u00e9szt az \u00faj templom els\u0151 istentisztelet\u00e9n. Este a <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-167\">Korona Sz\u00e1ll\u00f3<\/a> nagyterm\u00e9ben S\u00e1ndor Erzsi adott hangversenyt, E\u00f6tv\u00f6s K\u00e1roly felolvas\u00e1st tartott, Pete Lajos, a jeles somogyi n\u00f3tak\u00f6lt\u0151 zongor\u00e1zott.
