Eleinte a F\u0151 utc\u00e1ban volt a lelk\u00e9szi hivatal, az istentiszteleteket pedig m\u00e1sf\u00e9l \u00e9vig <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-131\">\u201eA haza kis polg\u00e1rainak\u201d<\/a>\u00a0emelt iskola nagyterm\u00e9ben tartott\u00e1k. 1883-ban a De\u00e1k t\u00e9ren (a mai Pet\u0151fi t\u00e9ren) b\u00e9reltek \u00e9p\u00fcletet a szertart\u00e1sok sz\u00e1m\u00e1ra, de a gy\u00fclekezet nagyar\u00e1ny\u00fa n\u00f6veked\u00e9se miatt hamarosan ezt is sz\u0171knek tal\u00e1lt\u00e1k.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-217\">templom\u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9sre<\/a>\u00a0k\u00f6zben \u00e1lland\u00f3an folyt a gy\u0171jt\u00e9s, amelybe m\u00e1s vall\u00e1s\u00faak is beseg\u00edtettek, igen sz\u00e9p \u00f6sszegekkel. A k\u00f6zhangulatra jellemz\u0151 a k\u00f6vetkez\u0151 eset. 1888-ban egy f\u0151v\u00e1rosi vend\u00e9g borozgatott az egyik kaposv\u00e1ri fogad\u00f3ban, s \u00fagy megtetszett neki a sz\u00e9p felszolg\u00e1l\u00f3l\u00e1ny, hogy az ital mell\u00e9 egy cs\u00f3kot is k\u00e9rt r\u00e1ad\u00e1sul. Az er\u00e9nyes honle\u00e1ny nem k\u00e9rette mag\u00e1t sok\u00e1ig, de csak azzal a felt\u00e9tellel \u00e1llt k\u00f6t\u00e9lnek, ha az ismeretlen azonnal letesz az asztalra \u00f6t forintot az \u00e9p\u00fcl\u0151 reform\u00e1tus templom jav\u00e1ra.
