A tervez\u00e9s, k\u00e9s\u0151bb a v\u00e9grehajt\u00e1s is Bereczk f\u0151m\u00e9rn\u00f6k feladata volt; j\u00f3r\u00e9szt az \u0151 hivatali idej\u00e9ben alakult ki a jelenlegi belv\u00e1ros \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9szeti arculata. 1896-ban a f\u0151m\u00e9rn\u00f6k k\u00f6zrem\u0171k\u00f6d\u00e9s\u00e9vel k\u00e9sz\u00fclt el az a v\u00e1ros\u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9si szab\u00e1lyrendeletet, amelynek seg\u00edts\u00e9g\u00e9vel igyekeztek mederben tartani a rohamos fejl\u0151d\u00e9st. A \u201eBereczk-korszakban\u201d egy\u00e9bk\u00e9nt olyan \u00e9p\u00fcleteket emeltek az \u00fajonnan nyitott utc\u00e1k tal\u00e1lkoz\u00e1s\u00e1n\u00e1l, amelyeknek sark\u00e1t 45 fokos sz\u00f6gben \u201elev\u00e1gt\u00e1k\u201d. (\u00cdgy a polg\u00e1roknak biztosan nehezebb volt \u00fctk\u00f6zni, \u00e9s k\u00f6nnyebb kanyarodni. Lehets\u00e9ges, hogy ez a megold\u00e1s a v\u00e1rosvezet\u00e9s k\u00f6z\u00e9leti filoz\u00f3fi\u00e1j\u00e1t is t\u00fckr\u00f6zte\u2026)<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A m\u00e9rn\u00f6k a k\u00f6zm\u0171ves\u00edt\u00e9sb\u0151l is kivette a r\u00e9sz\u00e9t: vezette a villanytelepet, ir\u00e1ny\u00edtotta a v\u00edzvezet\u00e9k \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9s\u00e9t. Az els\u0151 vil\u00e1gh\u00e1bor\u00fa el\u0151tt kidolgozta Kaposv\u00e1r \u00fatburkol\u00e1si programj\u00e1t, amely szerint el\u0151sz\u00f6r a csatorna\u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9ssel nem \u00e9rintett k\u00fcls\u0151 v\u00e1rosr\u00e9szek utc\u00e1iban kezdt\u00e9k a k\u00f6vez\u00e9st, a belv\u00e1rosi ter\u00fcletekre csak a csatorn\u00e1z\u00e1s befejez\u00e9se ut\u00e1n ker\u00fclt sor. Bereczk tervezte \u00e9s rajzolta meg azt a Kaposv\u00e1r-t\u00e9rk\u00e9pet, amelyet 1922-ben adott ki a Magyar F\u00f6ldrajzi Int\u00e9zet. Sz\u00e1mos v\u00e1rosi test\u00fcletben, bizotts\u00e1gban \u00e9s egyes\u00fcletben v\u00e1llalt szerepet, s m\u00e9g a helyt\u00f6rt\u00e9net\u00edr\u00e1st is m\u0171velte: 1925-ben jelent meg <em>Kaposv\u00e1r rendezett tan\u00e1cs\u00fa v\u00e1ros t\u00f6rt\u00e9nete \u00e9s fejl\u0151d\u00e9se<\/em> c\u00edm\u0171 k\u00f6nyve, amely m\u00e1ig a v\u00e1rosismeret egyik alapm\u0171ve.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">Bereczk S\u00e1ndor t\u00f6bb mint n\u00e9gy \u00e9vtizeden \u00e1t, 1924. augusztus 1-j\u00e9ig \u00e1llt a v\u00e1ros szolg\u00e1lat\u00e1ban.
