A romantikus st\u00edlus\u00fa \u00e9p\u00fclet \u00e9rdekess\u00e9ge, hogy nem az utcai homlokzat a f\u0151 n\u00e9zete, hanem a t\u00e9r fel\u00e9 fordul\u00f3, templomra eml\u00e9keztet\u0151 v\u00e9ghomlokzat.<br \/>\n A belv\u00e1ros legjellegzetesebb \u00e9p\u00fcletei k\u00f6z\u00e9 tartoz\u00f3 z\u00e1rd\u00e1t 1873. szeptember 29-\u00e9n szentelte fel Prib\u00e9k Istv\u00e1n p\u00fcsp\u00f6k \u2013 Ranolder J\u00e1nos ugyanis hajlott kora miatt nem j\u00f6hetett el szem\u00e9lyesen. Az \u00fcnneps\u00e9g kezdet\u00e9t reggel 8-kor \u00e1gy\u00fal\u00f6v\u00e9sek jelezt\u00e9k. A f\u0151teret ezen a h\u00e9tf\u0151i napon zs\u00fafol\u00e1sig ellepte a k\u00f6z\u00f6ns\u00e9g, a szentmis\u00e9n \u00fagy megtelt a <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-202\">pl\u00e9b\u00e1niatemplom<\/a>, hogy m\u00e9g a v\u00e1rosi k\u00fcld\u00f6tts\u00e9g is csak a mell\u00e9kajt\u00f3n tudott bejutni. A mise ut\u00e1n a h\u00e9t ap\u00e1c\u00e1t, azaz a leend\u0151 tan\u00edt\u00f3n\u0151ket egy-egy kaposv\u00e1ri h\u00f6lgy karonfogva vezette a z\u00e1rda \u00e9p\u00fclet\u00e9be, ezzel jelk\u00e9pesen is \u00e1tadva az int\u00e9zetet a Paulai Szent Vinc\u00e9r\u0151l elnevezett irgalmas rend n\u0151v\u00e9reinek.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">Az \u00fcnneps\u00e9g ut\u00e1n nyolcvan ter\u00edt\u00e9kes d\u00edszeb\u00e9d k\u00f6vetkezett a <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-167\">Korona vend\u00e9gl\u0151ben<\/a>, ahol <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-065\">B\u00e1r\u00e1ny Guszt\u00e1v<\/a>\u00a0polg\u00e1rmester Ranolder p\u00fcsp\u00f6kre \u00fcr\u00edtette a pohar\u00e1t. Mindez jelezte, hogy enyh\u00fcltek a v\u00e1rosvezet\u00e9s \u00e9s az egyh\u00e1z n\u00e9zetelt\u00e9r\u00e9sei, s hogy Kaposv\u00e1r ir\u00e1ny\u00edt\u00f3i is tudat\u00e1ban vannak az \u00faj tanint\u00e9zm\u00e9ny jelent\u0151s\u00e9g\u00e9nek.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A z\u00e1rda \u2013 amelynek igazgat\u00f3ja a mindenkori pl\u00e9b\u00e1nos volt, 1902-t\u0151l 1920-ig pedig B\u00e9csy M\u00e1rton gimn\u00e1ziumi hittan\u00e1r \u2013 teh\u00e1t katolikus elemi le\u00e1nyiskolak\u00e9nt is m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00f6tt. El\u0151sz\u00f6r n\u00e9gy, majd tov\u00e1bbi k\u00e9t oszt\u00e1ly ny\u00edlt meg, s egy n\u0151i k\u00e9zimunkaoszt\u00e1lyt, valamint huszonn\u00e9gy bentlak\u00f3 sz\u00e1m\u00e1ra intern\u00e1tust is berendeztek. Vall\u00e1sk\u00fcl\u00f6nbs\u00e9g n\u00e9lk\u00fcl ingyenes volt az oktat\u00e1s, s\u0151t kar\u00e1csonykor ruhaseg\u00e9lyt osztottak a tanul\u00f3knak, ez\u00e9rt kezdetben f\u0151leg a szeg\u00e9nyebb sz\u00fcl\u0151k \u00edratt\u00e1k be ide a gyermekeiket.
