Az els\u0151 kisded\u00f3voda, amelyet feles\u00e9g\u00e9vel egy\u00fctt Tar Csat\u00e1r<\/a>\u00a0egykori sz\u00edn\u00e9sz vezetett, az 1870-es \u00e9vek elej\u00e9n ny\u00edlt meg Kaposv\u00e1ron. A megy\u00e9ben viszont nem ez volt az els\u0151 ovi: 1866-ban B\u00e1lv\u00e1nyoson, 1868-ban Kerekiben kezdett m\u0171k\u00f6dni ilyen gyermekint\u00e9zm\u00e9ny, s az 1868. febru\u00e1ri megyegy\u0171l\u00e9sen el\u0151terjesztett tan\u00fcgyi jelent\u00e9s egy Csurg\u00f3n fel\u00e1ll\u00edtott kisded\u00f3v\u00f3 int\u00e9zetr\u0151l is megeml\u00e9kezett.<\/p>\n

A korabeli forr\u00e1sok sajnos hom\u00e1lyosan, a k\u00e9s\u0151bbi feldolgoz\u00e1sok pedig egym\u00e1snak ellentmond\u00f3an nyilatkoznak arr\u00f3l, hogy pontosan mikor l\u00e9tes\u00fclt a kaposv\u00e1ri \u00f3voda \u2013 a legval\u00f3sz\u00edn\u0171bb, hogy 1871-ben. 1872. j\u00fanius 30-\u00e1n m\u00e1r vizsg\u00e1t is tartott az \u00f3voda a v\u00e1rosh\u00e1z\u00e1n<\/a>. \u201eAz alig besz\u00e9lni tud\u00f3 kis gyermekeknek b\u00e1tors\u00e1ga, szavalatok, \u00e9nekekbeni j\u00e1rtass\u00e1ga, testmozg\u00e1sa, magatart\u00e1sa stb. arr\u00f3l gy\u0151zhettek meg benn\u00fcnket, hogy a sz\u00fcl\u0151i h\u00e1zn\u00e1l majd lehetetlen a kisdedeket ily korban, ily el\u0151ny\u00f6s nevel\u00e9sben r\u00e9szes\u00edteni; mert hogy a gyermek \u00edgy tanuljon, ily eredm\u00e9nyeket mutasson fel, oda mindenekel\u0151tt Tar Csat\u00e1rok kellenek <\/em>[\u2026]. Az els\u0151 kaposv\u00e1ri \u00f3voda Kuhl Tam\u00e1s asztalosmester Z\u00e1rda utcai h\u00e1z\u00e1ban kapott helyet; az \u00e9p\u00fclet ott \u00e1llt, ahol 1904-ben a Kontr\u00e1ssy utc\u00e1t megnyitott\u00e1k. Az \u00e9p\u00fclet lebont\u00e1sa ut\u00e1n az \u201e\u00f3v\u00f3iskol\u00e1t\u201d a De\u00e1k (a k\u00e9s\u0151bbi Pet\u0151fi) t\u00e9rre, Hagelman K\u00e1roly k\u00f6nyvkeresked\u0151 h\u00e1z\u00e1ba k\u00f6lt\u00f6ztett\u00e9k, amelyet 1909-ben harmincezer koron\u00e1\u00e9rt v\u00e1s\u00e1rolt meg a v\u00e1ros.<\/p>\n
