De nemcsak a somogyi nemeseket fogadta be a hatalmas \u00e9p\u00fclet, hanem kultur\u00e1lis, t\u00e1rsadalmi, s\u0151t gazdas\u00e1gi szervezeteknek is f\u00e9szekmeleg otthont biztos\u00edtott, legal\u00e1bbis \u00e1tmenetileg. Ebben az \u00e9p\u00fcletben kezdte meg m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00e9s\u00e9t 1864-ben a Somogy Megyei Takar\u00e9kp\u00e9nzt\u00e1r, 1870-ben itt alakult meg a megyei tan\u00edt\u00f3egylet (1920-ban a v\u00e1rmegye Szabadoktat\u00e1si Bizotts\u00e1ga is), 1882-ben az \u00e1rvah\u00e1zat l\u00e9tes\u00edt\u0151 M\u00e1ria Val\u00e9ria Egylet, 1890-ben az \u00darlovasok Sz\u00f6vetkezete.<\/p>\n

A megyeh\u00e1z\u00e1n tartotta meg els\u0151 nagygy\u0171l\u00e9s\u00e9t a Somogy V\u00e1rmegyei R\u00e9g\u00e9szeti \u00e9s T\u00f6rt\u00e9nelmi T\u00e1rsulat (1880), 1909-ben azt\u00e1n a m\u00fazeumegyes\u00fclet is \u2013 1904 nyar\u00e1nak v\u00e9g\u00e9n pedig a Somogy V\u00e1rmegyei Bor\u00e9rt\u00e9kes\u00edt\u0151 Sz\u00f6vets\u00e9g. 1905-ben orsz\u00e1gos visszhangot kiv\u00e1lt\u00f3 iparm\u0171v\u00e9szeti ki\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1st rendeztek az \u00f3don falak k\u00f6z\u00f6tt, amelyet t\u00f6bb nagyszab\u00e1s\u00fa k\u00e9pz\u0151m\u0171v\u00e9szeti t\u00e1rlat k\u00f6vetett azokban az \u00e9vtizedekben is, amikor az \u00e9p\u00fclet m\u00e9g nem volt m\u00fazeum. A nagyteremben \u00fcnnepelt\u00e9k meg Roboz Istv\u00e1n<\/a>\u00a0\u00f6tven\u00e9ves lapszerkeszt\u0151i jubileum\u00e1t (1913), a megyeh\u00e1z\u00e1n j\u00f6tt l\u00e9tre a megyei cserk\u00e9szsz\u00f6vets\u00e9g (1926), a Somogymegyei Automobil Club (1928) \u00e9s a Magyar Amat\u0151r F\u00e9nyk\u00e9pez\u0151k Sz\u00f6vets\u00e9g\u00e9nek Kaposv\u00e1ri Csoportja (1932). 1945 szeptember\u00e9ben a somogyi B\u00e9lyeggy\u0171jt\u0151 K\u00f6r, 1953-ban a TIT megyei szervezete, 1958-ban a Kaposv\u00e1ri Fot\u00f3klub is itt l\u00e9pett ki a nagybet\u0171s \u00e9letbe. T\u00f6bb felolvas\u00f3\u00fcl\u00e9st tartott a megyeh\u00e1z\u00e1n a Berzsenyi T\u00e1rsas\u00e1g<\/a>. S 1955. okt\u00f3ber 27-\u00e9n, Ivan Vlagyimirovics Micsurin orosz n\u00f6v\u00e9nynemes\u00edt\u0151 sz\u00fclet\u00e9s\u00e9nek sz\u00e1zadik \u00e9vfordul\u00f3j\u00e1n az akkor m\u00e1r megyei tan\u00e1csnak nevezett \u00e9p\u00fclet nagyterm\u00e9ben rendezt\u00e9k meg az ifj\u00fa micsurinist\u00e1k els\u0151 Somogy megyei tal\u00e1lkoz\u00f3j\u00e1t\u2026<\/p>\n

Az 1980-as \u00e9vek k\u00f6zep\u00e9t\u0151l ez az \u00e9p\u00fclet adott otthont a megyei m\u00fazeumnak, 2011-t\u0151l pedig \u2013 \u00fajra \u2013 a megyei \u00f6nkorm\u00e1nyzatnak is.<\/p>\n
