A <em><a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-055\">Somogy<\/a><\/em>\u00a0c\u00edm\u0171 hetilap 1869. december 14-i sz\u00e1m\u00e1ban megjelent tud\u00f3s\u00edt\u00e1s a lok\u00e1lpatri\u00f3ta b\u00fcszkes\u00e9g \u00e9s az alattval\u00f3i h\u0171s\u00e9g mellett m\u00e1s \u00e9rz\u00e9seket is kifejezett: <em>\u201eMag\u00e1ntud\u00f3s\u00edt\u00f3nk \u00edrja nek\u00fcnk Dalm\u00e1ti\u00e1b\u00f3l, hogy mid\u0151n a f\u0151herceg Albrecht-z\u00e1szl\u00f3aljak a leggyilkosabb csat\u00e1t v\u00edvt\u00e1k a hegyszorosok k\u00f6zt, megjelent a t\u00e1bornok k\u00f6zt\u00f6k, s fennsz\u00f3val mond\u00e1: \u00bbIly ezredben m\u00e9g hadnagy is \u00f6r\u00f6mest lenn\u00e9k!\u00ab A z\u00e1szl\u00f3aljak viselt dolgait t\u00e1vs\u00fcrg\u00f6ny\u00f6zt\u00e9k a f\u0151herceg tulajdonosnak, ki szerencs\u00e9t k\u00edv\u00e1nt ezred\u00e9nek, s dics\u00e9rettel halmoz\u00e1 el. Sajnos, hogy a val\u00f3di h\u0151s\u00f6k \u00f6nfel\u00e1ldoz\u00e1sa, rettenthetlen vit\u00e9zs\u00e9ge mellett is semmi el\u0151ny sincs nyerve az eddigi hadj\u00e1ratban.\u201d <\/em>Egy m\u00e1sik h\u00edrad\u00e1s, k\u00e9t h\u00e9ttel k\u00e9s\u0151bbr\u0151l:<em> \u201eKomoly id\u0151k \u00e9rt\u00e9k a Somogy megy\u00e9ben kieg\u00e9sz\u00edt\u0151, <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-053\">f\u0151herceg Albrecht<\/a>\u00a0nev\u00e9t visel\u0151 cs. kir. 44-ik gyalogsorezredet. Hogy mik\u00e9nt felelt meg az ezred feladat\u00e1nak, marad a hadi t\u00f6rt\u00e9nelemnek fenntartva \u00edt\u00e9letet hozni felett\u00fcnk; annyit azonban bizton mondhatok, hogy b\u00fcszke lehet Magyarhon, b\u00fcszke lehet az eg\u00e9sz hadsereg Somogy megye fiaira.\u201d<\/em> (<em>Somogy<\/em>, 1869. december 28.) Az 1866. \u00e9s 1869. \u00e9vi \u00fctk\u00f6zetek legmaradand\u00f3bb eredm\u00e9nye tal\u00e1n az volt, hogy 1870 elej\u00e9n a cattar\u00f3i temet\u0151ben, 1872 nyar\u00e1n pedig Kaposv\u00e1ron is eml\u00e9km\u0171vet szenteltek az elesett 44-eseknek\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A K\u00f6niggr\u00e4tzn\u00e9l \u00e9s Dalm\u00e1ci\u00e1ban h\u0151si hal\u00e1lt haltak kaposv\u00e1ri eml\u00e9koszlop\u00e1t sz\u00e9les k\u00f6r\u0171 \u00f6sszefog\u00e1ssal \u00e1ll\u00edtott\u00e1k fel a f\u0151t\u00e9ren, amelyet akkor m\u00e9g Sz\u00e9chenyi t\u00e9rnek neveztek. Az ezred tisztikara \u00e1ltal ind\u00edtott gy\u0171jt\u00e9shez a v\u00e1rmegye is csatlakozott, <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-171\">Jankovich L\u00e1szl\u00f3<\/a>\u00a0f\u0151isp\u00e1n \u00e9s Cs\u00e9p\u00e1n Antal alisp\u00e1n maga szervezte az adakoz\u00e1st. Kaposv\u00e1r v\u00e1rosa a helyet biztos\u00edtotta, az <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-018\">Esterh\u00e1zy-uradalom<\/a>\u00a0b\u00e9rl\u0151je t\u00f6bb ezer t\u00e9gl\u00e1t adott, Lang Alajos m\u00e9rn\u00f6k ingyen k\u00e9sz\u00edtette el a tervrajzot, \u00e9s Deckert Kriszti\u00e1n \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9sz is ugyanilyen \u00e1rat sz\u00e1m\u00edtott fel az eml\u00e9km\u0171 meg\u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9s\u00e9\u00e9rt.
