A h\u00e1bor\u00faban \u00e9s b\u00e9k\u00e9ben egyar\u00e1nt igaz hazafinak \u00e9s jeles orvosnak jellemzett T\u00f6lt\u00e9nyi J\u00e1nost \u00e1ltal\u00e1nos tisztelet \u00f6vezte a megyesz\u00e9khelyen, amit nem kis r\u00e9szben az alapozott meg, hogy \u00f6nk\u00e9nt v\u00e1llalkozott az 1866. \u00e9vi <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-053\">k\u00f6niggr\u00e4tzi csat\u00e1ban<\/a>\u00a0megsebes\u00fclt somogyi katon\u00e1k hazahozatal\u00e1ra. (B\u00e1r az is igaz, hogy k\u00f6zponti kezdem\u00e9nyez\u00e9sre minden megye l\u00e9p\u00e9seket tett ekkor mar\u00f3di katon\u00e1inak elhelyez\u00e9s\u00e9re.) T\u00f6lt\u00e9nyi teh\u00e1t elutazott a csehorsz\u00e1gi csatat\u00e9rre, \u00f6sszegy\u0171jt\u00f6tte a sz\u00e1ll\u00edthat\u00f3 somogyi s\u00e9r\u00fclteket, \u00e9s vas\u00faton hazaind\u00edtotta \u0151ket. T\u00f6lt\u00e9nyi doktor v\u00e1llalkoz\u00e1s\u00e1t nem csak Somogyban m\u00e9lt\u00e1nyolt\u00e1k: a k\u00f3rh\u00e1zigazgat\u00f3nak 1867 elej\u00e9n az uralkod\u00f3 is elismer\u00e9s\u00e9t nyilv\u00e1n\u00edtotta a porosz\u2013osztr\u00e1k h\u00e1bor\u00fa idej\u00e9n kifejtett tev\u00e9kenys\u00e9g\u00e9\u00e9rt. Az a Ferenc J\u00f3zsef tette ezt, akinek hadb\u00edr\u00f3s\u00e1ga 1849-ben a szabads\u00e1gharcban val\u00f3 r\u00e9szv\u00e9tele miatt t\u00edz\u00e9vi v\u00e1rfogs\u00e1got szabott ki r\u00e1. Az uralkod\u00f3 egy\u00e9bk\u00e9nt m\u00e1r <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-050\">1852. \u00e9vi kaposv\u00e1ri l\u00e1togat\u00e1sakor<\/a>\u00a0is tal\u00e1lkozott vele, ugyanis az aradi b\u00f6rt\u00f6nb\u0151l nem sokkal kor\u00e1bban amneszti\u00e1val szabadult \u00e9s Kaposv\u00e1ron \u2013 rend\u0151ri fel\u00fcgyelet alatt \u2013 munk\u00e1t v\u00e1llalt T\u00f6lt\u00e9nyi doktor mutatta meg neki a megyei k\u00f3rh\u00e1zat\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">Dr. T\u00f6lt\u00e9nyi J\u00e1nost 1870 m\u00e1jus\u00e1ban, \u00f6tvenk\u00e9t \u00e9vesen vitte el a sz\u00edvinfarktus. Nagy r\u00e9szv\u00e9t k\u00eds\u00e9rte utols\u00f3 \u00fatj\u00e1ra; temet\u00e9s\u00e9n a v\u00e1rmegyei \u00e9s a katonai tisztikar is jelen volt. Ut\u00f3dja, dr.
