Krieger S\u00e1muel v\u00edzm\u00e9rn\u00f6k 1776-ban k\u00e9sz\u00edtette el a Kapos \u00e9s a Si\u00f3 menti ingov\u00e1ny lecsapol\u00e1s\u00e1nak terv\u00e9t \u2013 ebben az \u00e9vben egy\u00e9bk\u00e9nt \u00fajra nagy ter\u00fcleteket \u00f6nt\u00f6tt el a meg\u00e1radt Kapos. A foly\u00f3 els\u0151 \u00f6sszehangolt szab\u00e1lyoz\u00e1s\u00e1nak tervezet\u00e9t v\u00e9g\u00fcl 1807 m\u00e1rcius\u00e1ban, az \u00e9rdekelt birtokosok Attal\u00e1ban folytatott tan\u00e1cskoz\u00e1s\u00e1n fogadt\u00e1k el. Ny\u00e1ron megindult a v\u00edzrendez\u00e9s a Kapos somogyi szakasz\u00e1n. A terveket Nagy J\u00f3zsef, majd <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-093\">T\u00f6r\u00f6k Ferenc<\/a>\u00a0m\u00e9rn\u00f6k k\u00e9sz\u00edtette, a munk\u00e1t Brechter Ferenc, az Esterh\u00e1zy-uradalom m\u00e9rn\u00f6ke ir\u00e1ny\u00edtotta. A szab\u00e1lyoz\u00e1s els\u0151 szakasza 1819-ben lez\u00e1rult; a Helytart\u00f3tan\u00e1cs ugyanis utas\u00edtotta Somogy v\u00e1rmegy\u00e9t, hogy v\u00e1rjon, am\u00edg Tolna megye elk\u00e9sz\u00edti a Kapos \u00e9s a S\u00e1rv\u00edz \u00f6sszef\u00fcgg\u0151 szab\u00e1lyoz\u00e1s\u00e1nak terv\u00e9t. Ekkor m\u00e9g nem siker\u00fclt a v\u00f6lgy teljes \u00e1rmentes\u00edt\u00e9se, a munk\u00e1k azonban hozz\u00e1j\u00e1rultak a Kapos menti mocsarak felsz\u00e1mol\u00e1s\u00e1hoz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">1820-t\u00f3l \u2013 imm\u00e1ron Besz\u00e9des J\u00f3zsef v\u00edz\u00e9p\u00edt\u0151 m\u00e9rn\u00f6k vez\u00e9rlet\u00e9vel \u2013 \u00fajult er\u0151vel folytat\u00f3dott a munka, amelyet Besz\u00e9des mellett Somogyban Hal\u00e1sz G\u00e1sp\u00e1r m\u00e9rn\u00f6k ir\u00e1ny\u00edtott. A somogyi szakaszon 1829-ben kezd\u0151d\u00f6tt meg a szab\u00e1lyoz\u00e1s. Gr\u00f3f Zichy Ferenc, a Kapos-szab\u00e1lyoz\u00e1s kir\u00e1lyi biztosa 1835. augusztus 12-\u00e9re h\u00edvta \u00f6ssze Kaposv\u00e1rra Somogy, Tolna, Fej\u00e9r \u00e9s Baranya v\u00e1rmegye k\u00e9pvisel\u0151it, akik a keceli g\u00e1tt\u00f3l Pincehelyig kocsin, majd haj\u00f3n utazva vizsg\u00e1lt\u00e1k meg a m\u00e1sf\u00e9l \u00e9vtized alatt elk\u00e9sz\u00fclt csatorn\u00e1t, konstat\u00e1lva, hogy a hatalmas munka szerencs\u00e9sen befejez\u0151d\u00f6tt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">Somogyban v\u00e9g\u00fcl 6547 holdnyi kor\u00e1bban haszn\u00e1lhatatlan f\u00f6ldter\u00fcletet sz\u00e1r\u00edtottak ki. A munk\u00e1latok eredm\u00e9nyek\u00e9nt a mocs\u00e1r elt\u0171nt, a v\u00edzimadarak elk\u00f6lt\u00f6ztek, a n\u00e1d \u00e9des f\u00fcv\u0171 r\u00e9teknek adott helyet \u2013 \u00e9s persze jelent\u0151sen megn\u0151tt a m\u00e1r b\u0151ven term\u0151 f\u00f6ld \u00e1ra.
