R\u00e9gebben a sz\u0151l\u0151birtokosok \u00e9s a vincell\u00e9rek sz\u00fcretek idej\u00e9n kimeszelt\u00e9k \u00e9s vir\u00e1ggal d\u00edsz\u00edtett\u00e9k fel a k\u00e9poszlopot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">Az \u00e9p\u00edtm\u00e9ny fels\u0151 r\u00e9sz\u00e9n, egy \u00edves z\u00e1r\u00f3d\u00e1s\u00fa f\u00fclk\u00e9ben \u00fcvegajt\u00f3val lez\u00e1rt fadobozt helyeztek el, benne pedig egy f\u00e1b\u00f3l k\u00e9sz\u00fclt szobrot. A kicsiny, alig harminc centim\u00e9teres barokk m\u0171alkot\u00e1s, amely a t\u00f6vissel megkoron\u00e1zott, \u00f6sszek\u00f6t\u00f6z\u00f6tt kez\u0171 Krisztust \u00e1br\u00e1zolja, a helyi n\u00e9pnyelvben \u201eGugyul\u00f3 J\u00e9zus\u201d-k\u00e9nt ismeretes. A kis \u00e9p\u00edtm\u00e9ny felirata a Megv\u00e1lt\u00f3hoz foh\u00e1szkod\u00f3 ember s\u00f3haja: \u201eJ\u00e9zus, seg\u00edts\u201d. A barokk kort id\u00e9z\u0151 k\u00e9poszlopon az \u00e9vsz\u00e1m is olvashat\u00f3: 1721.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A szobor keletkez\u00e9s\u00e9nek pontos k\u00f6r\u00fclm\u00e9nyeit azonban hom\u00e1ly fedi. Kaposv\u00e1r egyik legkiv\u00e1l\u00f3bb pl\u00e9b\u00e1nosa \u00e9s egyh\u00e1zkr\u00f3nika-\u00edr\u00f3ja k\u00e9nytelen volt meg\u00e1llap\u00edtani: <em>\u201eT\u00f6bbet nem is tudunk r\u00f3la. A Megv\u00e1lt\u00f3 kaposv\u00e1ri szobra azonban nem guggol, hanem egy k\u00f6v\u00f6n vagy kis sz\u00e9ken \u00fcl. Az \u00e1br\u00e1zol\u00e1st minden val\u00f3sz\u00edn\u0171s\u00e9g szerint a k\u00f6zk\u00e9zen forg\u00f3 fametszetek vagy a k\u00f6rmenetek \u00e9s a dramatiz\u00e1lt passi\u00f3-el\u0151ad\u00e1sok ihlett\u00e9k, azaz a k\u00e9s\u0151 k\u00f6z\u00e9pkori \u00e9s a barokk kori n\u00e9pi j\u00e1mbors\u00e1g m\u0171v\u00e9szete \u00e9s irodalma. A Szent\u00edr\u00e1sban ugyanis nem szerepel, hogy a megostorozott \u00e9s kig\u00fanyolt J\u00e9zus a kereszthordoz\u00e1s el\u0151tt egy k\u00f6v\u00f6n pihent volna meg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A szobor azt a kort is jelk\u00e9pezi, amikor a <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-010\">t\u00f6r\u00f6k uralom<\/a>\u00a0\u00e9s a <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-013\">h\u00f3dolts\u00e1g megsz\u0171nt\u00e9t<\/a> k\u00f6vet\u0151 z\u0171rzavaros negyed \u00e9vsz\u00e1zad ut\u00e1n <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-021\">\u00fajj\u00e1sz\u00fcletett Kaposv\u00e1r<\/a>. Az 1715-ben megalap\u00edtott <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-014\">kaposv\u00e1ri pl\u00e9b\u00e1nia<\/a>\u00a0els\u0151 pl\u00e9b\u00e1nosa, V\u00f6r\u00f6s J\u00f3zsef G\u00e1bor 1738-ig t\u00f6lt\u00f6tte be ezt a tiszts\u00e9get, teh\u00e1t a J\u00e9zus-szobor keletkez\u00e9s\u00e9nek idej\u00e9n \u0151 p\u00e1sztorolta a h\u00edveket. Sz\u00e1rmaz\u00e1s\u00e1ra n\u00e9zve nemesember volt, akit papt\u00e1rsai is nagyon megbecs\u00fcltek. A b\u00e9kess\u00e9get kedvel\u0151 pl\u00e9b\u00e1nos maga is a sz\u0151l\u0151tulajdonosok k\u00f6z\u00e9 tartozott; elk\u00e9pzelhet\u0151, hogy ez\u00e9rt fordult a figyelme a v\u00e1rost \u00f6vez\u0151 sz\u0151l\u0151k \u00e9s az ott dolgoz\u00f3 emberek lelki sz\u00fcks\u00e9gletei fel\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A \u201eGugyul\u00f3 J\u00e9zus\u201d-szobor azonban t\u00f6bb viszontags\u00e1got \u00e9lt \u00e1t az ezredfordul\u00f3 ut\u00e1n, mint a megel\u0151z\u0151 csaknem h\u00e1rom \u00e9vsz\u00e1zadban.
