B\u00e1r meggy\u0151z\u0151d\u00e9ses Habsburg-p\u00e1rti volt, politik\u00e1j\u00e1ban a nemzeti szempontokat is igyekezett \u00e9rv\u00e9nyre juttatni. Esterh\u00e1zy P\u00e1l herceg m\u0171vel\u0151d\u00e9st\u00f6rt\u00e9neti szerep\u00e9t irodalmi, zenei \u00e9s teol\u00f3giai munk\u00e1ss\u00e1ga alapozta meg. Barokk verseket is \u00edrt, eml\u00e9kirata fontos kort\u00f6rt\u00e9neti forr\u00e1s.
