A v\u00e1r m\u00e9g \u00e1ll\u00f3 falait dr. V\u00e9tek Gy\u00f6rgy polg\u00e1rmester utas\u00edt\u00e1s\u00e1ra 1930 nyar\u00e1n lebontott\u00e1k, az \u00e9p\u00edt\u0151anyagot \u00e9rt\u00e9kes\u00edtett\u00e9k. Az sem sokat seg\u00edtett a dolgon, hogy 1931 tavasz\u00e1n Rabati Jen\u0151 h\u00edrlap\u00edr\u00f3 az <em>\u00daj-Somogy<\/em> c\u00edm\u0171 napilap has\u00e1bjain int\u00e9zett ny\u00edlt levelet a polg\u00e1rmesterhez a v\u00e1r utols\u00f3 maradv\u00e1nyainak megment\u00e9se \u00e9rdek\u00e9ben, s az sem, hogy a v\u00e1r ter\u00fclet\u00e9t v\u00e9g\u00fcl romkertt\u00e9 nyilv\u00e1n\u00edtott\u00e1k. 1936. m\u00e1rcius 3-\u00e1n a v\u00e1ros felk\u00e9r\u00e9s\u00e9re ifj. Lux K\u00e1lm\u00e1n \u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9szm\u00e9rn\u00f6k tartott helysz\u00edni szeml\u00e9t, aki javasolta, hogy t\u00e1rj\u00e1k fel a v\u00e1r m\u00e9g meglev\u0151 romjait. A soron k\u00f6vetkez\u0151 \u201ev\u00e1rrombol\u00e1sokra\u201d az 1950-es \u00e9s az 1970-es \u00e9vekben ker\u00fclt sor, \u00fajabb \u00e9p\u00edtkez\u00e9sekkel\u2026 \u00cdgy az ut\u00f3bbi \u00e9vtizedekben folytatott r\u00e9g\u00e9szeti felt\u00e1r\u00e1sok (1956-ban Pusztai Rezs\u0151, 1958-ban Par\u00e1di N\u00e1ndor, 2000-ben dr. A 250. esztend\u0151ben, 1936. szeptember 7-\u00e9n pedig eml\u00e9kk\u00f6vet avattak \u2013 Lux K\u00e1lm\u00e1n m\u0171\u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9sz ekkor jelentette be, hogy a v\u00e1rromot a M\u0171eml\u00e9kek Orsz\u00e1gos Bizotts\u00e1g\u00e1nak v\u00e9delme al\u00e1 helyezt\u00e9k. 1986. november 12-\u00e9n, a h\u00e1romsz\u00e1zadik \u00e9vfordul\u00f3n eml\u00e9kt\u00e1bl\u00e1t lepleztek le a <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-140\">v\u00e1rosh\u00e1za<\/a> fal\u00e1n, hat \u00e9v m\u00falva pedig a Kaposv\u00e1ri V\u00e1rossz\u00e9p\u00edt\u0151 Egyes\u00fclet \u00e9s a Magyar Urbanisztikai T\u00e1rsas\u00e1g Somogy Megyei Csoportja tartott eml\u00e9k\u00fcl\u00e9st ezen a napon. 1991. november 22-\u00e9n a <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-141\">v\u00e1rosh\u00e1za d\u00edszterm\u00e9ben<\/a>\u00a0avatt\u00e1k fel Z. So\u00f3s Istv\u00e1n fest\u0151m\u0171v\u00e9sz <em><a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-011\">Kaposv\u00e1r visszav\u00e9tele<\/a>, 1686. november 12<\/em>. c\u00edm\u0171 fresk\u00f3kartonj\u00e1t.
