Mivel Kaposv\u00e1ron akkor m\u00e9g nem volt pl\u00e9b\u00e1nialak, a v\u00e1rosban otthon n\u00e9lk\u00fcl, szerzetesi szeg\u00e9nys\u00e9gben \u00e9lt, megosztva h\u00edveivel az \u00e9let minden viszontags\u00e1g\u00e1t. N\u00e9h\u00e1ny h\u00f3napi pl\u00e9b\u00e1nosi m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00e9s ut\u00e1n, 1693. november v\u00e9g\u00e9n hunyt el; a jutai templomban helyezt\u00e9k \u00f6r\u00f6k nyugalomra. Egyik kort\u00e1rsa szerint Szenczy atya azt tartotta, <em>\u201ehogy az eg\u00e9sz \u00e9let vagy im\u00e1ds\u00e1g, vagy k\u00fcszk\u00f6d\u00e9s. B\u00e1r ezek a benc\u00e9sek nem voltak a mai \u00e9rtelemben vett pl\u00e9b\u00e1nosok, ink\u00e1bb katonai lelk\u00e9sznek lehetett \u0151ket tekinteni. A <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-086\">kaposv\u00e1ri pl\u00e9b\u00e1nia<\/a>\u00a0megalap\u00edt\u00e1s\u00e1ra \u2013 amelyet m\u00e1r nem benc\u00e9s szerzetes, hanem egyh\u00e1zmegyei pap vezetett \u2013 csak \u00e9vekkel k\u00e9s\u0151bb, 1715-ben ker\u00fclt sor. A 18. sz\u00e1zad elej\u00e9n m\u00e1r <a href=\"\/varostortenet\/b-017\">templom is \u00e1llt<\/a> a f\u0151t\u00e9ren.<\/p>\n<p class=\"kv-page-content-paragraph\">A 17. sz\u00e1zad v\u00e9g\u00e9n m\u00e1s rendek is kiterjesztett\u00e9k m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00e9s\u00fcket Kaposv\u00e1rra.
